In a move that emphasizes the growing importance of corporate social responsibility in the mainstream business press, Business Wire and CSRwire have announced a strategic alliance enabling Business Wire clients to reach the CSR community.
CSRWire distributes corporate social responsibility news and reports to interested journalists, analysts, investors and academics. CSRwire’s distribution network reaches more than 400,000 total readers, including major media outlets, investment professionals, NGOs, special interest groups, activists, academics and corporate CSR officers.
"There is a heightened awareness of corporate responsibility today among journalists, as well as institutional and individual investors," noted Cathy Baron Tamraz, president of Business Wire. "Our alliance with CSRwire, the premier news service catering to this constituency, means that corporate activities promoting social initiatives will reach a far broader audience than ever before."
"We strongly believe that our strategic partnership with Business Wire will continue to raise awareness that good corporate citizenship is good for business,” said Joe Sibilia, founder of Meadowbrook Lane Capital, CSRwire's parent company.
Business Wire and CSRwire believe that their collaboration will cast a brighter spotlight on corporate social responsibility, and the resulting benefits for the sponsoring company and the community-at-large. The companies plan to jointly sponsor a nationwide series of conferences, in addition to working with industry groups and business schools, to promote the concept of corporate social responsibility to new audiences.
Members of The Center for Corporate Citizenship are eligible to join CSRwire at a discounted rate. For more information, contact Julie Holunga. |
