The 2005 conference marked our 20th anniversary and reflected how the work, once consigned to community relations professions has broadened during the past two decades. Major speakers included Starbucks Coffee Company CEO Jim Donald, Harvard Business School Professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter, ImagineNations CEO Rick Little, futurist and author Andrew Zolli, and Tom McCoy, executive vice president for legal affairs and chief administrative officer of AMD. April 2008 - Transforming Business-Education Partnerships: Seeking Solutions for the 21st Century On April 5, 2008 the Boston College Center hosted a full-day conference, "Transforming Business-Education Partnerships: Seeking Solutions for the 21st Century. This event sought to explore “next generation” approaches to education, which has long been a top concern of many Center members. The conference was intended to be just the beginning of a major new initiative focused on how business can more effectively use its influence, resources and employees to improve education.
