Improving the well-being of both the company and society
Members tackling issues such as integrating and managing corporate citizenship throughout the company use the Center’s research and educational opportunities to improve performance and stay current in the field. The many frameworks and research findings offered by the Center can be adapted to fit most management structures.
The impact of our member companies happens at all levels - from within the company to their local communities to the wider world - and the scale can range from one person to millions. The Center places emphasis on a commitment to continuous improvement and encourages companies to set long-term goals that lead to sustainable change in the world. When companies work with the Center, results come in many forms. Some examples:
- In 2008 three managers earned the first-ever Certificates in Corporate Citizenship Management.
- Eight Fortune 500 companies in our Executive Forum saw remarkable progress in their efforts to integrate corporate citizenship after participating in this collaborative research project.
- Companies are using the Center’s Corporate Citizenship Assessment Tool as a catalyst for better coordination through the company. Many say it has allowed them to jump-start new citizenship initiatives.
- On-site management and leadership development programs have allowed companies to train large teams of employees to manage community involvement with a discipline and consistency that pays dividends for the company.
